Industrial Designer

Full time Industrial Designer 

The Product Development and Manufacturing Systems Designer position will play a key role in the continued growth and success of the high end, limited production furniture brand Troscan.

 Working with the creative team, owners, and product development lead, designer will work on new product as well as facilitating improvements and processes for current product line.

o Complete rendering assignments as required of furniture, lighting and accessories concepts as required

o Document and organize dimensioned and rendered 3d concepts in shared fileand update changes and modifications to drawings through all phases 

o Assist in Schedule of Materials and BOM 
o Maintain computer filing systems related to all CAD/CAM and rendering programs

o Create CAD/CAM files for CNC (3  and 4 axis)

o  Document pieces in Solidworks  drawings for approval for in house orders and

 work with product team to create 3D models and renderings 

o Assist in product development of furniture and objects which may include cast, formed and fabricated items and may also include concept development, hand sketched renderings, vendor and material research, mock up development design documentation etc.

o Organize and take notes in prototype production meetings and follow up schedules

o Assist in-house production team with mocking up rapid prototype or full scale models, modifying drawings as needed and working with engineering team on solutions.

Working knowledge of the following software required:

Solidworks, Fusion 360, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Blender a plus.
