FWS Research Assistant - Human Research Protection Program Assistant

Human Research Protection Program Assistant (PROTOCOL DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANTS (PDC) FOR SOCIAL SCIENCE AND HUMANITIES Assistant), Human Research Protection Program, Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI)

Description:
The position will administratively support the Protocol Development Consultants (PDC) For Social Science and Humanities Pilot Project. This project will be carried out by the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) in collaboration with the School of Education, School of the Arts, College of Humanities and Sciences, Wilder School, and School of Social Work to produce high-quality research protocols, reduce IRB Time, and improve the overall research efficiency of the Monroe Park Campus.  report. 
 
Duties:
The administrative duties will range from triaging protocol submission requests to the PDCs, reconciling records; developing tracking logs, scheduling meetings, or other administrative duties assigned.  
 
Remote Options:
The student will have the option to work remotely if necessary.
 
Required/Preferred Qualifications:
--Must have an interest in research administration, research administration education, research compliance, or oversight.
--Must complete CITI training within 1 week of hire
--Attention to detail
--Able to effectively communicate with University faculty, and staff (on the phone and in-person)
--Comfortable using computers and other office equipment
--Good writing and verbal skills
--Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
--Technical/research/journalism writing skills are a plus
--Maintain University HIPAA standards and IRB requirements
 
Hours: A reasonable weekly schedule will be determined between the supervisor and mentor, not to exceed 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday during normal working hours.
