Mechanical Designer

We're Hiring: Mechanical Designer

Location: Waukesha, WI
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Employment Type: Full-Time

Are you a detail-oriented Mechanical Designer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and seeing your designs come to life? Join our team in Waukesha and play a key role in designing transformer systems that power industries and communities around the world.

As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining transformer mechanical designs, supporting manufacturing teams, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

What You'll Do

Complete transformer mechanical designs, including internal and external layouts of components and accessories

Review customer specifications and engineering documentation to ensure compliance and identify special requirements

Calculate dimensions, tolerances, and specifications using established procedures and engineering knowledge

Provide technical support and mentoring to team members

Partner with manufacturing and Quality Assurance teams to resolve design and production issues

Support continuous improvement initiatives by developing new processes and improving design efficiency

Assist with development projects, mechanical optimization, and preliminary design support for quotations

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Drafting & Design or a related field
  • Experience using PTC Creo (Pro/ENGINEER)
  • Strong mechanical design, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP experience
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, drafting standards, and shop practices
  • Experience supporting industrial equipment, transformers, or similar engineered products
