Theatre Tech Instructor

Camp Kippewa is looking for enthusiastic, creative, and tech-savvy individuals to join our Performing Arts team this summer! Located in the scenic surroundings of Monmouth, ME, Camp Kippewa provides a supportive, dynamic environment where campers can explore their talents both on stage and behind the scenes. Join us from June 14 – August 11!

Theatre Tech Design/Lights Counselor:

Help design, set up, and maintain sets, sound,  lights, and technical aspects of the performances

Comfortable assisting with hanging and rigging lights, ensuring safety and precision

Operate show software such as Onyx or QLAB to manage lighting cues, sound, and effects during live performances

Foster a fun, inclusive atmosphere where every camper can explore their creativity both on stage and behind the scenes

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with lighting, tech design, or costumes in a performance setting preferred

Comfortable with hanging and adjusting lights and technical equipment

Experience operating show software (Onyx, QLAB, or similar) is a plus, but willingness to learn is key

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Positive attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for working with young performers
